Katrine Rørbakken Lund (f. 1989) viser nye malerier og tekstilarbeider i utstillingen Det ulmer under jorda.  

Arbeidene henter inspirasjon fra tekstile håndarbeidstradisjoner der lapper og rester settes sammen til nye komposisjoner.  

Ved å dekonstruere og rekonstruere gjenbrukte tekstiler fra hjem og bekledning, gjennom teknikker som lappeteknikk og applikasjon, utforskes det nostalgiske og hjemlige. Tematisk kretser arbeidene rundt morskap, omsorg og kvinnerollen som menneskelig erfaring.

Katrine Rørbakken Lund (b. 1989) presents new paintings and textile works in the exhibition Smouldering Underground.

The works draw inspiration from textile craft traditions in which patches and remnants are combined into new compositions.

By deconstructing and reconstructing repurposed textiles from domestic fabrics and clothing—using techniques such as patchwork and appliqué—the nostalgic and domestic are explored. Thematically, the works revolve around motherhood, care, and the role of women as human experience.
